Japanese Sashiko Embroidery is a running stitch embroidery technique, traditionally used in Japan as a simple stitch to quilt several layers of loosely woven fabric for strength and warmth.
Modern Sashiko products use traditional Japanese designs worked onto indigo dyed fabric with white or ivory contrast running stitch. A luxury finish to home furnishings, needlework and craft projects.
Kit includes instructions and everything required to get creative using the design templates provided. Contents will make a 40cm x 40cm cushion cover, large picture, set of smaller pictures, table runner ... the possibilities are endless !
