Sashiko Embroidery Template Stencil, Shippou Seven Treasures for creating Sashiko embroidery designs.
Japanese Sashiko Embroidery is a running stitch embroidery technique, traditionally used in Japan as a simple stitch to quilt several layers of loosely woven fabric for strength and warmth.
Modern Sashiko products use traditional Japanese designs worked onto indigo dyed fabric with white or ivory contrast running stitch. A luxury finish to quilting, home furnishings and craft projects.
This 4 inch template will create a Sashiko flower design. This stencil can be used as a single design, as a repeat pattern, or grouped together for cushions, quilts or bags.
Use the Sew Easy water soluble marker pen or similar marker to trace out the design and stitch with sashiko thread and needles for best effect. (see separate listing)
